RCB Looks to Keep Up Early Form in Homecoming

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are off to a fantastic start this season! They have already won two games and look very strong in every part of the game – batting, bowling, and fielding.

Now, they are getting ready to play in their home ground, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, against Mumbai Indians (MI) on February 21, 2025, at 7:30 PM IST. Join billy 777 earning app for more cricket updates.

As if they were champions, RCB has been playing! Two of their best batters, Ellyse Perry and Smriti Mandhana, have already played brilliant innings.

Last season, they scored more than 300 runs each, and this season, they are continuing their fantastic form. Richa Ghosh, another star player, smashed 64 runs in just 27 balls against Gujarat Giants. That’s super fast!

RCB’s Bowlers Are on Fire!

RCB’s bowlers have been amazing, too. Renuka Singh was brilliant against Delhi Capitals, taking three wickets for just 23 runs in 4 overs. She has already taken five wickets this season!

Other bowlers like Kim Garth, Ekta Bisht, and Georgia Wareham have also helped the team by taking important wickets. And guess what? Ellyse Perry hasn’t even started bowling yet!

Can Mumbai Indians Stop RCB?

Mumbai Indians (MI) must work very hard to stop RCB. Last season, Ellyse Perry took six wickets in one game against them!

Although MI is glad she hasn’t bowled yet this season, they still have to contend with her potent batting.

So far, MI has won one game and lost one. Their best performances have come from their overseas players. Most of MI’s wickets have come from Shabnim Ismail, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, and Amelia Kerr

Nat Sciver-Brunt has also been batting well, scoring 80* and 57 runs in her two matches. MI’s captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, played a quick knock against Delhi Capitals but wants to be more consistent in the upcoming games.

What to Expect from This Match?

This season’s first game will take place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Last year, most matches here were won by the team that batted second. Last season, MI won three of four games played here, while RCB won three and lost two.
