Class Title: The Throw Lab
Join us for a fun and interactive class designed to help you master the basics of disc throwing for dog sports! Whether you are brand new or looking to fine-tune your technique, this hands-on session will give you the skills to throw smoother, farther, and more accurately. You’ll practice proper grip, stance, and follow-through, so every toss sets your dog up for a great catch. If your dog is not 100% all in yet Didi can help problem solve to build their love of the game. Perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike – come out, improve your throws, and take your game to the next level
Class Title: UpDog Game Practice
This seminar is designed to help competitors understand the games of Frizgility, 4-Way Play and Spaced Out. Once you understand the goals you can then learn some strategies and practice on a fully striped field. The field will remain striped and available for rent until the UpDog Competition in August giving you lots of time to solidify the skills learned during this workshop. Please bring at least 6-10 of your favorite discs and mark your name on them. It is likely to be warm in July so don’t forget creature comforts! Drinks, canopies, chairs, snacks, fans, dog crates, treats, etc
Class Title: Introduction to Disc Dog
Discover the exciting world of disc dog with our “Introduction to Disc Dog” class, designed for dogs and their handlers who are new to the sport! This beginner-friendly course will cover the fundamentals of disc dog training, helping you build a strong foundation in both throwing techniques and basic canine skills. Your instructor, Didi, will adapt to your team’s ability level, help your problem solve and set training goals.
Participants will learn how to safely introduce their dogs to discs, teach basic commands for catching and retrieving, and develop coordination between handler and dog. The class also focuses on understanding dog body mechanics, fostering enthusiasm, and ensuring a positive experience for both the dog and handler.
Whether you’re looking for a fun new way to bond with your dog or exploring the potential for competitive disc sports, this class provides the perfect starting point. All skill levels and breeds are welcome!
Prerequisites:
- Dogs should be comfortable off-leash and have a basic understanding of obedience commands (e.g., sit, stay, come).
Vaccination Policy
Very Important:
All Dogs Sports Park LLC has a very strict vaccine policy. To train at our facility or use any of the any amenities, every dog must have the following veterinarian administered up to date vaccines. Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP and Canine Influenza.
We understand there are circumstances, such as health issues or age, which might preclude a dog from ceertain vaccines. In these instances, we will accept a letter from your veterinarian or a titer.
By registering for our classes or using our facility, you are agreeing to provide proof of all four vaccines. Your proof must be received prior to the first day of class or before using our facility.
Refund Policy/Class Attendance
Refunds given prior to close of registration, less processing fee. We are not able to provide compensation for missed classes during any session.
